Thank you!

I don’t know if it made it into the script, but since we have the cat characters I was sure to mention how cats love wrecking them.

I had forgotten about her! She wasn’t in there either.

I like the V-neck into wine glass on this one:

Correct total number of fingers I guess.

As an aside, these are unrequested by me, but stable diffusion keeps spitting them out anyway.

Just what is the gentleman holding? It kinda looks like it’s supposed to be a revolver, but not nearly as “revolver-like” as Ms. Vee Neck’s hands are “hand-like”.

I assume it was a cigarette carton crossed with a gun. And a socket ratchet sticking out the end. Perfect gift for the hard-shooting mechanic, who likes to smoke.

Our hiatus has ended! Well… after a fashion.

The Christmas episode crashed, then Sean (the director) got COVID and is still sick, so we’ve been working on AI stuff. This is mostly us, with a bit of Ukrainian thrown in. Our own stuff is all text2video, where the main human interaction is giving it prompts and picking the best results. All the crazy jank is the AI being AI.

It’s ostensibly SFW, but a little grim.

There’s now a debate over whether you’re being sarcastic or not.

Offing Death is a positive thought, and doing it in a particularly unpleasant way (for Death, anyway) “feels” super just and righteous.

Also that AI has, at some time, done some really awesome - or gnarly - acid. Not sure if that’s a good thing…

My vote was for “not sarcastic”.

One of the things that jumped out at me was what this AI thinks of Bush versus Trump. We ran a bunch of both. Bush is all smiles and having the time of his life while Trump is throwing tantrums and shoveling literal fistful after fistful of food into his mouth.

Universal Music’s slapfight with TikTok got two of our earlier releases muted.

but... I thought your music is original to your band?

I saw another tiktoker who dances be quite annoyed. Really hard to dance without music. They are going with indy music instead.

It is when possible. That was the case with everything in the YouTube series except the train song.

One time I put an iMovie goose honking sound effect in a YouTube video and got dinged for copyright because someone else used the same sound effect in an original song.

That goose, of all the geese honking, was distinct and discernable.

If it was a Canada Goose, you do not want to tick it off. All the politeness we associate with Canadians does not make up for how intensely rude and aggressive Canada Geese are. Probably better to get a local goose to voice your videos, just in case.

Our hiatus officially ended yesterday!

Naturally, had more time to prepare than normal, and it was a short day relatively speaking (12 hours, only 7 with actors), so even though I felt rusty, it ended up pretty low-stress. Two new kids who are good. Now that I’ve worked with her a few times, I can say our replacement cat is fantastic. We totally lucked out.

Went overboard on the fog machine in an enclosed room with a strobe light. I imagine it was a pretty decent simulation of being blind. At some point it dissipated to where I’d catch the faintest hint of my surroundings but the strobe completely wrecked any ability to retain the image. Trippy. Took about a minute of slowly crawling on the floor before I found the strobe.

10/10. Would do again.

Thanks for the advice. I do not think there’s a blood test for strobe blindness in artificial fog, so it has that going for it too.

The new short is interesting. From the warning I expected worse. Instead, philosophy. The voiceover is very good. Towards the end do I detect a new england accent? Intentional?

Thank you so much!

The stuff with the accent is me, which I decided to try on a lark. We did this 25+ years ago and were debating it recently. Sean insists I was doing Hitchcock, while I distinctly remember going for Malcom McDowell.

What TikTok decides needs a sensitive warning and what doesn’t seems random.

I can see mcdowel, but something about the softness and the drawl with "coahpses" also gives big maine.
