I kno i've another thread on this, but its been outdated...
So I'm turning my 12" powerbook into a tablet... pretty straight forward.

I'll be quite interested to see how this turns out, especially how you manage to make it touch screen or figure out a way to make it work without. Good luck

touch sensitivity comes from a touch sensitive glass overlay that interfaces via USB. its mounting thats that hard part...watch the video to check it out!

nope, not as expensive as you'd think! under $200 bucks for materials (though i've spent more in experimenting)
overall it just takes time, and ingenuity.

wont you have to build your own top casing because you're going to turn it into a tablet? how will you be doing this? I figure the cheapest way possible would be fiber glass.

good observation...i plan on using the existing top half of the lid and cutting it open. it wont be pretty, and mounting will be the biggest challenge. stayed tune to the website for updates
