one last bump-will also consider 12" Powerbooks (rev B or later with combo drive) or souped up Tibooks of 800 Mhz or later.

Cash offers also will be considered.

Thanks

I doubt you have much chance of getting a trade here.

You're best option I think is to auction it on eBay and then use that money to buy a Powerbook used off eBay.

It's a long shot, I admit, but stranger things have happened-there could be some Mac user out there being forced into a Wintel environment that can't afford the performance hit from using Visual PC...

A day late and a dollar short. about a month ago, i dumped my 12" 1.33 and picked up a 700m with $350 to spare so you may have to add some cash...just my two cents. I haven't even had time to use my 700m lately

This was exactly what I did I wanted a powerbook really bad, so I bought one and put my IBM thinkpad on ebay. The auction ends today

Bump to bring this one back from the dead....

Updated to reflect that the wireless card has been upgraded to an Intel 2200B/G internal mini-PCI (which makes the machine a full Centrino-even the BIOS reflects the change. Battery life now closer to 2.5-3 hours). I will also include a free copy of Ubuntu Linux 5.04, which all hardware in the laptop supports out of the box with the exception of the SD card reader-suspend and sleep work fine with Ubuntu, and CPU speed management actually seems to be an improvement over Windows' version.

Why drop your price? There are many on Ebay who want your comptuer. The one on top has 40 bids and is at $850.00

Just trying to help you out.

Simply put, because I really screwed up my budget after going on vacation last week and getting cash ASAP is a really good thing. I do appreciate the concern, though.

I'll have my 700m up on Ebay, but if I get a confirmed sale here, I'll pull the auction on receipt of payment, even if it's less than the going price.

But, you wanted to 'Trade' in here not sell. WTT < This means wanted to trade, You should then have said, WTS < wanted to sell.

You aren't going about this correctly.

Your putting your item up on Auction and simultaneously 'for trade' or 'for sale' in here is not quite ethical. Might I suggest you put it up for auction on Ebay first. I've shown you will get many bids for your computer, and much more interest than in here. If you need cash fast, then maybe offer it up for (pick/up) if local, and only accept Money Order / Cashier's checks on pickup. A thought.

Or do a paypal or bidpay transaction.

You probably aren't going to get your money any faster in here than over there on Ebay either.
