Yes, please do check it out. It's interesting, because I always assumed he didn't actually read the articles he posts to. But given the details in the above post, I think he did. He just didn't understand it.

Of course he mischaracterised both incidents. Albright does not say "There is a special place in hell for women that don't support Hillary." She paraphrases a quote I've heard before, and says "there is a special place in hell for women who don't help each other."

It's true- there is even a video embedded in the article.

And as for what Steinem said, it was stupid, but it was said to Bill Maher (a comedian) and it was clearly meant as a joke. And in any case, it didn't herald a feminist war on Sanders, it was roundly criticised by feminists and she rightly apologised, several times over.

All of this is made plain in the article.

Please people, for heaven's sake, please don't accept the opinions and news reports of an angry internet fantasist without doing a bit of research on your own.

How so? Did I somehow link her well known lack of eloquence to the fact that she is a woman? Can you illustrate how?

This is all getting a bit childish. I don't see how calling Palin a gibbering idiot is in any way misogynist. She's not dumb because she's a woman, she's just dumb. Or possibly drunk. Or both.
I have plenty of more important things to do, if only I could bring myself to do them....

Gov. Palin is neither stupid nor drunk, not anymore than The Clintons or Sanders are senile or demented, or both.

The point was if a woman on the right, like Dana Loesch or Michelle Malkin said what Albright said all hell would break loose.

I will not speculate as to Palin's intelligence or sobriety, and I certainly didn't comment on either. Her struggles expressing herself in an intelligible way is almost universally acknowledged by and reported on by people of every political affiliation. He abilities to speak extemporaneously. To pretend otherwise is silly. To feign outrage over non-existent misogyny is speaks to a lack of personal integrity.

EDIT: Corrected a typo (in bold) as it was apparently confusing some members.

He?
You city folk just don't understand flyover speak, that's all. I used Palin because she is a polarizing person, and in true "Rules for Radicals" fashion, the venom spewed at her shows that. Again, what if it was Michelle Malkin or say Sen Joni Ernst that said there is a special place in hell for women who don't help each other?

I am far from city folk, I live very much in the country.

As for what would happen if a conservative woman stood up for other women? Let's look at the example of Megan McCain.

She expends a good bit of energy calling out conservative women who tear each other down. The only people I've seen give her a hard time about it are other conservatives.

So, I guess what would happen is that our right leaning friends would work themselves into a lather and those on the left wouldn't give it much thought.

That's what history seems to tell us.

Likely because the Republican party has become so defined by social issues of late, and she has a more progressive view on these. She still seems fairly conservative on economic and foreign policy issues. The party will need to accept such members if it truly wants to have a 'big tent.'

Palin is stupid. If you can't tell then thats something you ought to work on.

If a woman on the right said what Albright said I would expect people to be dumbstruck for a moment and then pleasantly surprised after that. I would also argue that a certain amount of hell has broken loose over Albright saying it anyway or we wouldn't be discussing it.
In truth its a poorly worded outburst of frustrated disbelief and I'm sure she regrets saying it, but still feels that frustrated disbelief that there aren't more staunch feminist women around trying to get a woman elected.

IIUC, Albright said it 8 years ago, and it's been stripped of context. OTOH, Steinem just shoved her foot all the way into her lower intestine.

Sarah Palin isn't stupid, and while we're on the subject, neither is Bush 43.

I don't think Bush 43 is stupid, but I think he lacks intellectual curiosity and relied to heavily on his gut rather than his intellect as president. Obama seems to overthink things, Bush seems to underthink.

As for Palin, I don't know the woman, but nothing in her public persona, educational or professional history or off script speaking leads me to believe she is particularly bright, I think she had a bit of populist savvy, but it was fairly shallow and hasn't endured.

I'm not willing to definitively declare she is stupid, but she's certainly given the world no reason to believe she is an intellectual.

Shes also prolife, which I see as a huge conservative flag.

As for classification, I determine it by whatever your priorities are. If gay marriage is a bigger deal than killing Muslims, you're liberal. If taxes are a bigger deal than smoking pot, youre conservative, etc.

You don't understand, Bill Clinton closely followed by Rand Paul, but for very different reasons, one was 60% social while the other was 60% economic. Also, Clinton's welfare reform wasn't "terrible", and his criminal justice reform helped drop violent crime by >10% while he was in office.

Bernie using Kissinger as a wedge issue is so awesome, it actually makes me want to vote for him in the general.

Edit: to be clear, this isn't based on my opinion of Kissinger, it's based on how brilliantly outside the box of a gambit it is.

What else is he going to say, now that he's faced with the seething progressive hordes, looking for someone else to blame for the current state of the prison system? It's really this simple: 1. Stop glorifying thugs and criminals in pop culture. 2. Repeal the stupid drug laws. Oh, and stop breaking the law.

lol, what am I supposed to do with this? It's a completely unverifiable claim that requires omniscience on your part.

Still, though, if you want to say he's liberal, show me all those liberal policies that hold a candle to all that centrist garbage I posted earlier.

Where did I say he's "liberal"? Bill Clinton was a moderate Dem. What do you do with it? I guess you could look at raging, ignorant hate groups like Black Lives Matter and see what he's up against. He tried to do the right thing, but unfortunately he couldn't predict the mainstream emergence of Thug Life culture and a tripling of illegal drug sales over the next 2 decades.
