Again problems with Apple Audio Update 1.3

Impossible... like the previous update 1.2 my iMac DV SE crashes after installing and restarting. The culprit is the Apple Audio Extension 1.3.
Do you have identical problems...? If so do respond. I wonder if Apple tests the software update.
I also have synch problems with the built-in DVD player.

The same problem cropped up on my Blue and White G3, and I found an unusual but effective solution:
Deactivate the Mac OS 9 Audio Update package in the Extensions Manager, restart, then reactivate it, and restart. My machine has worked beautifully since.
