My experience:
Microsoft --> mediocre mouse, ok keyboard
Logitech --> great mouse, lousy keyboard (the keys are sticky after a while - I don't have coke poured on it)
Apple --> one button mouse.... great keyboard.

So I am using corded Apple Pro keyboard with Logitech mouse to have the best of both worlds. Unless you have to have them matched, I wouldn't recommend getting a set.

I wouldn't worry much about battery life as all of them last long enough.

Just my 2 cents.

I was looking at the MX1000 mouse, it looks amazing, and right now microcenter has it for $80 - $20 rebate. only thing is, it doesn't appear to be bluetooth, it has its own connection?

I've been using the Apple set for the last six months or so. Haven't had any issues with batteries going too quickly. I'm on my second battery set since I bought them, not too bad if you ask me.

I chose the Apple route for two reasons. First, I'm a sucker for aesthetic. They just look right with my ACD and Powerbook. Secondly, I'm a big believer in the one button mouse. Even as a pro user, I prefer it to a two button mouse any day.

Just my two cents.

Hi Recontech,
I use the Apple wireless/bluetooth mouse with my 15" PowerBook - a good piece of kit, especially when used with re-chargable batteries - which last longer.
On the plus side - I never have to spend money buying ordinary batteries!

When at home, is an Apple BlueTooth Keyboard, and a USB Microsoft 5 button mouse (I'm a lefty so those slope right mice don't work).

When road warrioring, I use the iogear BlueTooth Mini-Mouse.

Err at least until last week when Mini-M stopped working....
Thanks

Paul

Apple Bluetooth Keyboard works great. Long battery life so far, even using rechargables.
Kensington PilotMouse Bluetooth meh. Has an awkward shape, creating RSI for me. Better battery life than other 3-button mice. Still waiting for the MacAlly version to ship.

I`ve been using my logitech BT mouse for over a year now. Works great. Was using an apple pro wired keyboard until I moved over seas.

juz wanna ask - how is the tracking response on these BT mice that u guys use? cos I tried a couple of BT and wireless (non BT) mice from Benq and Kensington. I must say that I've experience slight problems with all ther wireless mice I've come across - they tend to skip tracking for a split second intermittently, which can be irritating if u're trying to drag something across the desktop. Got so frustrated that I switched to wired mice.

I haven't tried the Logitec one yet, but I'm a bit hesitant to try another cos I got 2 lying around in my house somewhere collecting dust.
