I think now is a perfect time. Gaming news has been pretty quiet lately. Would you rather they wait until Sept or Nov when GoW 3 or MW 3 dominate the headlines?

It's all GOW3, BF3, and MW3 from here on out. And that's just the big shooters.
BioShock Infinite is the one doing it right.

Isn't it obvious? The Salvador character is a dwarf. (I thought you would recognize that. You know... being a huge fan of the TV shows Little People and Pit Boss.)

I suspect Dakar will be using Maya, the new "Siren" character, but i read somewhere (cannot remember) not all Siren's have the same ability so i assume the "phasewalk" will not return.
Although i agree with Dakar that they started the hype machine at a terrible time, i'm very interested in this game and it makes me finally go and play through "claptrap revolution"

I didn't care for the SIren in the long run.
I can't bring myself to play Claptrap, either. Borderlands was a life-time ago.

Nice cover art. Love how he uses both hands in this one...
The "Deluxe Vault Hunter's Collectors Edition" $99.99 will include the aforementioned Marcus Kincaid bobble head, hardbound art book, map of Pandora, comic book download and a four sticker set.
The "Ultimate Loot Chest Limited Edition" $149.99 includes everything from the "Deluxe Vault Hunter's Collectors Edition" as well as an exclusive SteelBook case, numbered certificate of authenticity, creatures of Pandora wide format ID chart and four lithograph postcards. All of that wub wub goodness comes packed in that sweet loot chest that you're all a little too excited about.
Jesus, these limited and ultimate editions are gettting pretty far out there.

Release date is soon. I currently don't have the extra funds to kick around as I just bought a Wii (again. crap, may be Jawbone syndrome) for my son and all the wedding stuff. However, it looks damn good and I hope to be playing within a month or so of release.

Borderlands DLC to include season pass
As announced today in the Gearbox Forums, Borderlands 2 will feature four post-launch DLC packs in the form of add-on campaigns and, as is de rigueur these days, they will be offering a season pass that will allow you to net all four for the price of three.
Each of the four add-on campaigns will cost 800 MSP, but you can get all four for the low-low price of 2400 MSP.
Borderlands had some of the best DLC I've ever played (minus Mad Moxxi). Here's hopin' the trend continues and see if they can top General Knoxx.

Seconded. General Knoxx was fantastic, and I will be playing through that again soon. Because I lost my save games and Steam is being a pain...

Looks good and looks damn fun.
Hopefully you won't have to do the 2 play-throughs thingy though. That was a pain.
And that dual wield might be interesting, acid on the left and fire on the right.

Too bad you can only dual wield with one character. If that was an option with the Siren character, oh boy...

I never tried the Siren in the last one. Mordecai was great fun, and I started playing Brick but it wasn't as good. Mate of mine rated the gun-turret character. Might try that first.
And,
Um,
I'll probably be on PC for this one.

You should reconsider, especially since I just found the following deal...
Microsoft Store Pre-Order bonus for Borderlands 2
You get a $10 credit towards a future M$ store purchase plus a 1600 point MS card ($20 value)!
Basically you get the game for $35 when it's all said and done.
SCORE!!!

Alright guys, so Borderlands 2 comes out tomorrow, so I'd like to get a head count of who's getting it on release date and I'm wondering if we can get some multiplayer looting going? F'n pumped for this one!

I despise playing games at my computer. I'm not sure how much better a game would have to be for me to play it on my iMac instead (not that I could).

Got my (free) copy yesterday and played some multiplayer with KCrosbie until 1am. This game is going to consume a lot of my free time until Halo 4 is released.

Stogie, I asked our bro if he could hook us up with a season pass download code and he's looking into it.
Game is pretty fun, however I don't suggest you join a game with others who are like 12 levels ahead of you. Every piece of equipment or guns you pick up require that level or more. I was doing very minimal damage to enemies with my pistol and was really no help to my team mates until I got to at least level 10 when I was finally able to equip an assault rifle. I did level up pretty fast, however which was nice.
The game hasn't skipped a beat and still has its humor. I always loved the boss introductions. There's this one in particular who wields this shield... wait I ain't gonna spoil it.

I dunno, I've gotten used to keyboard and mouse over the years. I like the flexibility with the keyboard and the precision of the mouse, especially in the menus.

Heh, I like using d-pad for menus – you just memorize commands to rote.
Also, menus is the weakest argument for PC.
Sitting at a desk when I get home is also incredibly lame.

But it's true, playing Fallout 3 on a PC instead of the console is a whole different game. The more complex the console game, the more a PC would become handy.
I still prefer consoles for a myriad of reasons, the most of which being instant compatibility, but if I had a powerful enough PC I think I'd be using Steam alot more for gaming.

Possibly the worst, most ill-informed, video game review I've read in recent memory:

I don't wanna troll your thread guys. I reallllly don't. But I just can't get into this franchise.
You know how games sometimes don't get everything right on the first pass, but correct it on the next release? No one told Gearbox.
It looks to me like the tedious process of opening safe after safe for $2 is still alive and well in BL2. Bleech.
I enjoyed BL's combat, was so-so on the visuals, and hated the tedious inventory management and loot scrounging.
I know I'm the lone crazy guy who loves id's RAGE, but nothing beats picking up 6 separate items with a single click.

Heh, I'm going to be playing for a little bit tonight, but I have no idea till when, don't feel offended if I sign off by the time you are on.
I'm around lvl 8 right now, picked Zero (of course), his decoy special power is awesome so far, but I got my ass handed to me 6 times or so on the first 'boss.'

No hate. I just figured if you didn't get the game opening day then November will most likely be the time you pick it up. (After you've mastered all the new Armored Kill stuff in BF3.)

Christmas would probably have been the more likely guess. Anyway I found out fatty had it on pre-order so I order it on Amazon the toher night. The last night I realized I had a gift card I could use at Wal•Mart, so I went to cancel the order and it had already shipped. Less than 24 hours, with free shipping. It's like amazon can only use free shipping to do evil.
If I don't have it when I get home (it flew out of their warehouse), I should definitely have it tomorrow.
