Came accross these new drives available soon by the distributor

Seems to be a perfect candidate for a new revision of the 17" Macbook Pro in the future. As apple innovates (they had the dvd burners in the powerbooks first), I wouldn't be surprised if they have these drives with new Macbook Pros.

hmm i dont know it would be cool but the newage betamax vs vhs war have not been decided yet. dvd was standars it beat out vhs but now blue ray and hd dvd os completely diffrent. I dont think apple would want to close their doors and release blue ray and then the genral public accepts hd dvd as teh default format you know what im saying. I s better for apple to wait it out specially since their market share is increasing.
