Hi all, im trying to put iAlertU on my macbook and i was wondering if someone can explain step 2 in better words. ty

Installation
1. Drag the iAlertU icon to your applications directory.

2. Launch the iAlertU application and you with see the icon in your menu bar.

3. To arm the alarm system press and hold the menu button on your Apple remote control once and you should hear one chirp indicating the alarm is armed.

4. To deactivate the alarm press and hold the menu button on the Apple remote control once and you will hear 2 chirps and you will be returned to your desktop.
white macbook, 2ghz, 1gb of ram, 80gb hd.

I'm pretty sure step 2 is saying that when you launch iAlertU, you'll see the icon for the app in your menu bar. That's how you know the app is running. (This is, however, all assumption since I don't have Tiger or a MacBook and can't look at the app myself.)
Sell or send me your vintage Mac things if you don't want them.

double click or apple-down arrow to launch an application. the menu bar is the white thing on the top of the screen.

topic moved. also, your signature is way too big. 200 pixels wide by 50 pixels tall are the limits.

Yeah, just start (double click) the app and look at the dock.
