What kinds of Macs do you currently own and/or use and what have you spent, collectively, over the years on Macs?

I own and use an eMac (Superdrive) and two PowerBooks that are 15-inch 1.67Mhz Superdrive models. I also have a G4 Cube that is in the original retail box and in the closet and not being used. I am saving it.

What about any of you? While you're at it, what do you use them for?

Saving the G4 Cube? May I ask for what?

Mac mini here, though I've bought... 4 Macs in the past 4 years. Sheesh, that averages out to too many!

Eleventy-Billion-Dollars.

---

The Cube now can be upgraded to a Dual 1.5Ghz machine. See front page news of MacNN. Maybe that is why?

I am saving it for a special room that is being rebuilt. A den. It was an outdoor patio area and now we are making it a new addition to the house and it is going to be an office/den area and I am going to set it up in there in it's own spot as a piece of retro equipment/art.

My span of time with Apple goes back to 1983. Don't really even want to think of all that I've spent. Received great pleasure from each and everyone though.

Currently using a Power Mac G4 dual 450 as my main computer. Us it to track finances, diary, and browsing. web.

I just picked up a single 800 G4 Quicksilver 512/40/CD with a 15" Apple Studio LCD for $350.00 in perfect shape from a friend.

I put a fast Hitachi 160 gig drive in, and am waiting for a Radeon 9000 64 meg vid card and another 512 megs of ram.

I would like to upgrade it to at least a dual 800 G4 processor!

Before the mini it was the smallest and the coolest. Now it is just a bit of a collectors item.

One Rev D iMac 2 Grand
One Pro Keyboard and Pro Mouse 200 dollars
One Copy of OS X.0 150 dollars
One 900Mhz iBook 2014.16 (yes I remember down to the cent)
One copy of Panther 100 dollars
One copy of iLife 04 80 dollars
One Replacement of iBook with 12inch 1ghz PowerBook after logic board problems, 500 dollars.
One iPod mini 320 dollars
One copy of iWork 69 dollars

There are some things money can't buy.
For everything else, there's Apple Computer.

That's a sh!tload of money when I look back on it like that. Gee, thanks for depressing me.

All that great hardware... And the most expensive computer I bought was my 1st. A Tandy 386 beige box running Win 3.11, for something like $2,100. How embarrassing in retrospect. I was had. Frakkin' Radio Shack!

1.33 G4 Powerbook 12in. Superdrive. 80 GIG. 768 RAM. Plus you always have to have tons of addons. Total price, like $1800 at the time. But then again, I am a poor teacher.
