Hey all.

I just received my first PowerBook a week ago, and have since given Unreal Tournament OSX a shot. I was very happy to see the 3D performs brilliantly, but the menus look horrible. They are blurry, fuzzy, the lines often look like they are antialiased crooked so the color changes halfway through, etc.

Is this indicative of a problem with gaming on the PBs? I know that often LCDs will look horribly distorted or blurry if not set to their native resolution. I've yet to try any other games, so I'm just looking to see if anyone else noticed what I see.

Though, as I said, 3D works great. In the end I'm there to play the game, not to stare at a menu

It's exactly as you say...LCD screens have one native resolution, and the graphics card has to perform scaling to display lower resolutions on it.

If you want to make sure we're talking about the same thing, just go to your 'Displays' system preference and set it to a lower resolution. It will appear blurry and stretched.
