Hey guys I was looking to sell my iMac since I got a 12 in powerbook, and my friend wants to give me 600 for it. It's an 800mhz 15" Superdrive model with 512 of RAM and a 60 gig hard drive. Do u guys think that's a good price to sell it?

It's a great computer and I actually use it more than my powerbook. But I need to fix my car that's why I want to sell it. And because I think it's only gonna devalue even more.

Should I sell it for 600 dollars or just hang on to it?

It does have a superdrive which a will miss.

About a year ago I sold my 15" 1 Ghz iMac G4 (combo drive) with 256 RAM and an 80 gig hard drive for a little over $1,000. I think $600 seems a little low, even though its a year later now. That iMac has a superdrive which is a $200 value and more RAM, but it does have 200 Mhz. less processor. If I were selling that computer I'd be happy with about $800 but I don't know if I'd do it for $600.

I'd agree on the $800.00. That's still a pretty current machine.

i agree that $800 would be a fairly good price. $600 is way too low.

I was offered $850 (Cdn$) for my 700 mhz 15" combo, a couple a months ago from a dealer.
Another dealer is now advertising selling that same model for $1300 (Cdn$).
So I would imagine anywhere between $800 and $1000 (U.S) would be the going price.
