Picking between those two, I'd go with Newegg for their awesome return policy.
If I was buying I'd spend the extra $40-60 on Crucial, because it gives me the warm fuzzies.

I did buy from Crucial this time around but I've bought all my memory in the past 8 years or so from OWC. Great company! Would have gone with them this time too but they didn't have the ECC RAM I wanted.

Well I got the cheap RAM oh well, we'll see how it goes should be here next week.
How bad can it be, as long as I don't have any kernal panics it'll be fine.
Besides I'll have 2.5 gigs there will be an inprovement no matter what, specialy since I've never used a machine with that much RAM.
That was the right one right? the one form newegg?

Can you let me know which you get. I just ordered a new DC 2.3 machine and should be in within the week. Would like to know if all is well with either ram you buy.

Well I ordered the Corsair and let me tell the performance is great. The computer actually feels real fast now. I installed it in like 3 minutes and I haven't had any problems. The computer even booted up faster after I installed the extra 2 gigs.
I'm really exited does anyone know if added another 2 gigs will add a significant amount of performance. Apps I freakuenly use are FCP studio, Adobe Creative Suite and After Effects among others. It seems like 2 gigs would be enough but maybe 4.5 will be even faster.
Anyway I recomend that RAM it works graat and at an awesome price! For anyone thinking about it don't suffer with 512 RAM your system will be a lot faster with at least 2 gigs.
