9600 with Sonnet 500 G3 will not cold boot into X.

Installed X on a 9600 with Sonnet card, and it runs just fine, except that it will not cold boot into X (always into 9.1) regardless of which OS (X or 9.1) you instruct to boot to X. It will warm boot into X from 9.1 and warm restart into X from X, but will not cold boot into X.

I have internal 3 HD's: Quantum Fireball (9.1), Seagate Barracuda (X with 9.1 Classic partition) and Quantum Atlas III for apps. SCSI chain is properly terminated and the 9600 has a fresh battery just incase it was losing the NVRAM settings due to a bad battery. PRAM has been check with TechTools and no problems were found.

Sonnet has been informed and they said that it should cold boot into X. I am using their Startup Disk CP (Startup Disk X) to boot into X from 9.1.

The only 'red herring' may be that occassionally the X Seagate drive fails to mount on the desktop when booting into 9.1 from X. The drive is properly jumped and configured. This drive was the last one in the chain and terminated, but moving it into the chain (non-terminated) did not help the situation (cold boot or the occassional mount failure)

Thoughts??
