9.2.1 and system error in Classic Start Up

Getting an ''unimplemented trap" starting up Classic inside 10.0.4 after upgrading from 9.1 to 9.2.1. Boots into 'normal' 9.2.1 outside of X OK. Can only launch Classic with all extensions off. Booted to 9.2.1 and set Extension Manager to 9.2.1 base and then booted into X. Tried to launch Classic and got the same error. Upgrade to 9.2.1 with caution!! Running on Wallstreet 292 with 320MB RAM.

I'm getting this in regular OS 9.2.1 boot. Not all the time, maybe 33% of the time. Pushing the reset button usually fixes it. I'll check MacFitIt next, but has anyone else had this problem?

Zoom, try this:
Solution:
1. Start Classic with extensions off (Advance tab)
2. Go to the EM in the System folder of the booted Classic
3. Go to Edit menu and select all OFF
4. Click the Restart button
5. X will load all the need Classic environment extensions
6. NO SYSTEM ERROR
7.Go back to the EM and select View menu and select Packages
8. The EM list will be divided into specific groups of extensions
9. Select the group to turn on first (leave Classic extensions ON)
10. I selected the 9.1 group and Restart
11. SYSTEM ERROR!!!
12. Go back and restart Classic with extensions off and go back to the EM
13. Turn off group that you selected and turn back on the first few in the same group
14, Restart and see what happens
15, Error?? if not keep going back and selecting a few more
16. Error?? if YES, you now know what extension(s) it is
MY SOLUTION: disable USB DEVICE EXTENSION (9.1)

Basically, do the standard extension conflict debugging. I was hoping someone would say "oh, yeah, that's a probablt extension XYZ which started to cause problems in OS 9.2.1".

I found that 9.2 conflicted with Macpoet which is an extension for Verizon DSL. If you have Verizon perhaps that is the problem. .>>I haven't really checked to see if they have updated (9.1 is fine)

Nope, don't have DSL.
I searched MacFixIt and only found some OLD articles having to do with OT/PPP or something. God only knows what the problem is. I'll be SCSI-free after Christmas, so maybe I'll get lucky and it'll be something in the SCSI stuff or the drivers for the devices.

i dunno but maybe updating x to 10.1.1 solves the problem?
