Mac OS X should be compliant with USB 1.1 and PCI standards so most, if not all, USB PCI cards should work under X. I have a Keyspan 2 port USB 1.1 PCI card and it works under X, even though Apple Profiler fails to ID the card as USB. I have a generic brand USB card that works under 9.1 very well, but fails to work under X. X sees the card, just as it sees the Keyspan, but anything attached to it does not work. Is USB under X just a hit and miss proposition, or will Apple finally comply with USB standards in future updates? What site carries the most extensive rundown of hardware that works under X? Thanks.
