PB touch pad problem

	I just bought a new refurbed 12 inch 1.5 ghz PB from the apple store. Whenever I wake it up from sleeping or stop the screen saver I can't use the touch pad for a minute or so. It is very sluggish and if I have Safari open touching the touch pad makes the screen go up and down. Anyone else have this problem or hear of it?
