I've tried searching the internet for Dell coupons but I mostly end up with old ones that don't work anymore. I'm trying to get either 2005fpw or a 2405fpw and it would be nice to be able to save a few $'s. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

techbargains.com and a gazillion others. If you google "dell coupons" you get tons of sites with current codes.

new coupons this morning. i, too, have been waiting for the right moment to snap up two 2005fpw monitors (same price as one 2405, but a whole lot more screen real-estate).

this morning is your chance, mine were each $396 shipped (no sales tax in oregon ) there 'usual' price is $699.

35% off coupon Code: D8Q403R9G4FJ32 Exp Th 10/13 5:59am CT or after 4000 uses and after $60 off $500 coupon Code: 82JMMHN1GRWXLZ Exp Th 10/13 5:59am CT.

if you are interested, i'd recommend snatching these up asap, they had similar coupon on friday and when i tried to grab them on saturday they were already all used up. the above coupons just came out this morning.

good luck!

t.o

(ps: I HATE DELL and their ridiculous pricing shenanigans. but these are amazing monitors and worth the hassle at this price, this one time. hopefully steve will give me some good reasons to buy a new PM on wednesday and sooth me with simple apple store pricing.)

I paid $899 for each of my 24" Dells. Wish I had waited.

Don't get me started!

I just hope Apple lowers the price on their 30" soon as I'll be technically (not rationably or reasonably) able to buy one in about two weeks.

Point of interest...
I called Dell customer support regarding the recent coupon code bringing the price of the 24" widescreen LCD to $780.
I explained that I was still within the 21 day return policy and that I had paid $899 for the two I had and requested that they refund me the roughly $119 for each. To be honest, I didn't really expect them to, but I figured I had nothing to lose. I spoke with one rep for a while and he said that Dell's policy on price matching only applies to full systems and not to single peripherals like displays. What *did* bother me is that when I explained that I was well within my rights to return the two I had for a full refund and then simply reorder two for the lower price, he still wouldn’t budge. At this point I politely explained that I understood that he was just doing his job and that I'd like to speak to a supervisor. After telling me that I would receive the same answer I was transferred to a woman who did, indeed, recite the same policy, despite the logic of my return scenario.
"Why have to deal with two open box returns when you can just save both of us the hassle and refund the difference?" I asked.
Nope. But as a gesture of good faith they issued me a $100 coupon good for any purchase. I figured this was better than nothing. Maybe the next time they offer a 10K SATA drive for a low price I'll use the coupon and snatch one.

Is there a moral to this story? Not really, I guess, except that if you really are intent on paying bottom dollar, be prepared to wait until the price comes down rather than go for the first rebate you see. I don't regret getting my Dells when I did as I needed them at the time.

Just thought you folks might be interested in this.

Hey crooner, why not take the $100 and still return the monitors? Assuming you have no ethical problem with doing that of course.
