I've been updating my iPhone applications religiously. Today, Facebook just released version 2.1 So i installed it. Everything still works.

How do i know what changed or got fixed from prior versions?

Go to the the listing on the App store, they typically have a "What's New In This Version" section.

Otherwise, in the App update section on your iPhone, you can tap on each update to see what's new.
I have returned... 2020 MacBook Air - 1.1 GHz Quad-Core i5 - 16 GB RAM

Yeah, it is an annoying, unnecessary step. They should list this alongside the available updates, but oh well.
