Maher again let his bigotry and lack of tolerance show by claiming that Jesus "f*cked" Tebow due to a loss. He was likely looking for attention by telling an unfunny joke which he knew would be offensive to many, and he got the attention he was looking for.

I thought it would be humorous to point out that now that Tebow has again achieved the unlikely right after Maher's comments, and with a bunch of weird, seemingly related numerical coincidences, that it was now Maher who was being "f*cked."

Nothing more, really.

I guess the Jesus God is too busy with football games that he forgot to save us during 9/11.

Maybe Jesus God should have intercepted the 2 planes and not allow the Muslim God to score 2 touchdowns on 9/11.

It's the whole "faith" thing. You know - believing in something because your heart tells you that there is more to the stuff you observe but can't prove. Like God, ghosts, or something like man global warming.
If the goal were for us to "figure it out on [our] own", then why reward the "seeds of creation" for worship? That's not "figure out on their own". That's very clearly influencing behaviour.

Severity and mercy, two different aspects (of many), one God.

Why do bad things happen? Simply put, this isn't God's realm, it's man's. We have free will, along with that comes accountability for the things we do. We, collectively, make a mess of things and we pay for them. We want to play with the knowledge of good and evil? Then we have to deal with all manner of disasters and self-inflicted wounds.

You ask, "but I didn't sign up for this, why should I suffer?" Who says you have to? Just because you're born into something doesn't mean you have to stay there.

How do you know for sure there's going to be a reward? How do you know for sure that when you are getting your "reward" that it was from your creator? The "rewards" require the initial faith that is apparently desired by God. Everything occurs after the faith.

I was sure he would end up in Jacksonville or New England. Jacksonville for obvious reasons, but Belichick apparently has some sort of weird obsession with him, and has a penchant for adapting players for alternate positions.

There's no way Sanchez is happy about this, and I'm wondering how a liberal, cynical New York will respond to an openly evangelical ever-optimist like Tebow.

He's going to get ripped apart. He's going to be a journeyman for a few years and then go into motivational speaking. He has no hope in the NFL.
