Not exactly a screenshot, but something that I've had on my desktop for a day. Watching it over and over again.

hi Zachs... I checked out that desktop and I TOTALLY fell in love with the icon of the PowerBook on your dock. Would you mind telling me where you found it. Actually all the icons are really good. The PB though does stand out.. Thanks

normal.
Aqua Extreme Theme (basically like Panther)
Rad-e8 Snow.E2 Icon Set
Desktop from RAILHead Design
when i'm in a weird, weird mood.
Same theme and icons. Different desktop.
generally i like very muted desktops -- something with just subtle grey stripes or something like Spotlight from mac guru. same goes for the icons -- this is pretty much the only icon set i like.
actually, right now i *am* using Spotlight (goes -really- well with the theme and icon set), but i didn't want to post something that looked mostly like Mac Guru's pic.

I'm totaly blown away by some of the stuff I've seen on this thread (boy it takes a long time to read though all of it).
I just have one question. I noticed that some of you don't have your drives icons on your desktop. How are you doing that?
thanks,
Jack

In the finder, go to Preferences. You'll see "Show these items on the desktop". Just uncheck the one by "Hard disk". Or use DeskShade Plus.

catsank -- which is why i'd want it.
and catsank -- i've made this point in another thread. why do you post an image in every post? it's not modem friendly. (yes, people like that still exist -- for example me when I'm not at work).

Sorry unlinear - Your right I have not slowed down due to your lack of speed.
and I must also apologize for thinking you were not a developer and proud owner
of a panter beta - hellbent on helping Apple reach the stars and beyond :)

I cannot vouch for that menubar app but have you tried Peter Maurer's 'AnotherLauncher'
Very useful and unique freeware menubar app/launcher now at version 1
- I have no affiliation with him, just think if you have the menu bar space - Give it a try, you might like it !
