I tried all the directions online (this and this), even getting into DFU mode correctly, but for some reason iTunes 7.5 gives an error that is not even mentioned ("(1)", I believe). It basically is unsuccessful.

Does anyone have the definitive, fool-proof way of getting 1.1.4 back? Or is there any advantage or reason at this point to downgrade, but instead keep 2.0 and use Pwnage, if it is indeed usable now?

Also, at one point the phone was "working" without phone that is, but the home screen showed up; now it's just emergency mode. What up?

Thanks.

Steps 8 and 9 never work. Oh well, back to 7.7 and I now have the world's most expensive remote!
