I just bought a macmini for my car.

Then I bought this LCD touchscreen for the car:

Next I ordered usb powered GPS model.

Then I ordered datacable for my Verizon phone.

Now my mac mini will have wifi, GPS, bluetooth, and for high speed EVDO internet access through verizon...

Yes I know your jealous Any other ideas of what I should do?

I am also working on a project like this!

It's so exciting! I have started a site to track my progress and get ideas from people. it is smartcar.nicolemacri.com

Maybe we can collaborate on ideas, and help eachother make our systems work!

Do you have a link to the touchscreen and GPS that you purchased? Are they compatable with Mac OSX?

I am very excited for you and have just posted a similar post! Sorry that I didn't see yours!

Let me know on your progress.

Randy

--one thing you also need to lookout for is operating temperatures of the LCD's, some are only recommended to work at room temperature! thats 20 degrees celcius!
