after some extreme frustration w/ crucial, since they've been saying they would get the 1GB PC2700 chip in since the beginning of october (i think), i have decided to purchase it from transintl.com

can any one convince me they are a good/reputable place? i cannot find any decent review information for them online.

They're very good in my experiences with them. You should not worry at all.

Agreed, they have gone out of their way to be helpful several times in the past. I've ordered at least 4 times from them, all with great results.

I've purchased the same TransIntl.com 1GB chip (PC2700 333MHz DDR) and installed it in my 15" Al PowerBook for a week now (total 1.25GB). It was an excellent customer experience. They shipped it right out, it works perfectly, and they threw in a freebie: a folding dual fan notebook cooler with integrated 4 port USB hub. If you want the 1GB upgrade I wouldn't hesitate to recommend TransIntl.com.......joe

I've used them twice, both times they offered the best price and the DIMM's arrived next day.
