To resize the menubar caps you need to edit the layo and then include it in the tpark file. It's very complicated, and I can't even explain it. Maybe smeger can.
I've done this for Mac OS XP, and for the new Aqua Extreme Tiger theme.

I hadn't realised that size adjustments of any end caps was possible.
If it is... it would be really handy to know how to do this...
it would open up many interesting possibilities.

thank you for posting this problem. I thought I was the only one! A tutorial or a link to a tutorial or anything would be great... I have developed my own version of Tiger, and would like nothing more than to make Tiger endcaps that work for my own theme. Any help or links to help would be greatly appreciated.

would anyone be willing to make up some 'dummy' themes with various sized Menu caps?
I would love a set of blank menuCap themes of approximately:
1/4 inch
1/2 inch
3/4 inch
1 inch
2 inch
3 inch
=))
you could do some fancy stuff with them =)
(does anyone still think in inches?) lol

I just had an even better idea:
smeger:
Any chance that in the new ThemePark, we can have access to modifying some resource sizes like the menu caps for example?
=)

Knowing how you work, it'd probably get done much faster if you just did it yourself. BTW, it might be more appropriate to think in 100s of pixels, since inches can vary greatly from monitor to monitor... for example, the pixels on my 12" iBook are much smaller than those on a 1024x768 17" monitor.
Oh, and, I wonder what would happen if the caps were made so large that they overlapped...?

I'm currently evaluating this. It's not simple to do because the sizes are hard-coded into the 'layo' resource and writing a GUI editor for the 'layo' is a waste of time.
But I've got some other possible approaches in mind.

How about transparently?
You paste an image in and ThemePark calculates the required layo for that size, then writes that to the resource. No big deal, right?
