My tastes don't change just because I'm drinking in a different building. If it's crap at home, it's crap in a bar and a restaurant as well.

^ I like hoppy ales. That sounds just like my kind of beer. I almost always have a case of Sleeman's IPA in the house, which sounds very similar.

Two-Hearted is VERY hoppy. From memory, I can' t think of a beer with more hoppy flavor or aroma.

Good beer only at the bar. I haven't had a cheep beer since highschool (except the occasional PBR)

No, but you are in a minority.

Oberon! I loved drinking Bell's when I lived in Traverse City. Another great beer that is difficult to find where I live.

Allagash makes some great beer. I recommend the Allagash Curieux which is aged in old Jim Beam barrels.

I guess my taste isn't quite refined yet. I'm 22 and I like to go out and get drunk without breaking the bank. I don't stop at the bodega and sip on two beers and go home. I guess that's largely why I like beers like Bud Light. When you're drinking 10-15 beers in a night you tend to go relatively cheap (without going bottom rung) with a beer that'll sit well with you all night. Drink 10-15 Guiness or any of these other ales or lagers and see how much you spend and see how you feel. Do it Fri. and Sat. night every weekend (though I do realize this is a terrible habit and hopefully I grow out of it soon).

Things are a bit hazy from that day.
I do remember a hangover like non-other the next day though.

Great burgers too, check it out.

Yeah, that's always bugged me about Costco. They sell unpasteurized beer at room temperature there.
And only on Thursdays.
Cheers, man; I bought some Red Stripe here in Cincinnati while on business. The local convenience stores don't have any local brews! Do they know how to make beer here?! The Red Stripe is alright.

They used to. I once read that before prohibition, Cincinnati had more breweries within the city limits than existed in the entire USA in 2000.

Haha, big part of the reason why I hope I get over this pace in the next year or so. It'd either 10-15 beers or 5-10 beers and a few mixed drinks and some shots or some variation. Either way it isn't healthy lol.

I'm beginning to concur.
Although I found a killer Japanese restaurant this evening. I was the only one there speaking English. Excellent food, with some Kirin Ichiban (just to stay on topic).

If I'm in that mode, or if I'm just in a bar that doesn't have a very good selection, then I usually fall back on Sam Adams. It's miles ahead of Budweiser or Miller, and it's usually fairly cheaply priced at happy hours.

Yep, I am. The first time I had Little Creatures was at some dodgy little hotel/pub in the Rocks... the Australian Hotel I think it was. That's the only place I've seen it on-tap, unfortunately... I usually have to go bottled from Dan Murphy's or something like that.

i need to get there for a tour this summer - i got hooked on Extra Pale Ale at Minnesota Twins games - if i am going pay $6 for a beer i'd rather it not be a Bud or Miller product.

It is beer.
Well, I agree.
But my point was that many states DISAGREE. Malt liquor may be a type of beer but the alcohol content is higher and many states require it to be classified differently.
Which was the point of my second sentence.
So go take that attitude with them.

If I am in a bitter (beer) mood, then I absolutely love Tribute (UK)
If I am in a lager mood, then it would have to be Asahi or Becks
If I am in a cider mood, Strongbow
Stout, Guinness

Leinies Red is pretty good though (for a cheap beer)

For you lovers of big, smooth, malty beers...if you ever see Yebisu on the menu (probably at a Japanese restaurant or sushi bar), get it, drink it and send me monetary tributes. One of the best beers I've ever had. Damned hard to find, too.

I'd have to agree with you, Sunset Wheat is pretty gross - i picked up a 6 pack of that new Summer Shandy beer last night - its a lemonade beer - i liked it - VERY easy to drink.
