The German (?) who runs it is looking for another bandwagon to jump on. Don't know why the guy doesn't just run a design and animation company since that is all he is good at.
Web dev, Poe, faux-naïf, keyboard warrior, often found imitating online contrarians . My stuff : DELL XPS, iPhone 6

I think that MySpace is the worst part of the entire interwebz. Why SpyMac should have chosen to emulate it is beyond me, but I'm guessing $$$.

FWIW, you can still access what's left of the old style SpyMac at Spymac.com

I guess this is what happens when you go through several flawed business plans.

They need a new domain though, what they are doing now seems to have nothing to do with spying on Macs.

SpyMac has become too full of themselves... but the design is visually good (as previously mentioned).

Myspace does not offer revenue sharing while Spymac does.

I was initially shocked by the changes but you can still set your bookmarks to Spymac.com to get the forums and news that you knew and loved.

Some people are making thousands of dollars in a month based on the popularity of their uploads.

As much as they suck I thought they were doing really well by selling hosting plans and t-shirts.

I saw the title and was going to reply to that. But somehow I knew you had already gotten to it before me.

Wow. I never hung around there often, but what does this new abomination have to do with Macs?

I clicked on one of the profiles shown on the homepage:

Spymac.com :: Proxy_Cute

First, I have no idea what that "profile" is ; what purpose it serves. Second, the videos posted there are bizarre. What the heck is the point of this site?

I only got a couple to browse like this one (macnn.com), macrumors.com, macosrumors.com, appleinsider.com,thinksecret.com, applenova.com, woz.org, apple-history.com and a couple of others....

wouldn't that be funny if macnn became some sh*tty web 2.0 site, due to some restructuring at LLNews? haha
