Hello
Im helping friends who have this set up now: DSL--ethernetHub--twohardwires--twoMacs.

would like to set up:

DSL-->AirportExtreme>--ethernethub-->twohardwiredMacs

so that a new powerbook with airport card can 'go online', use two printers from the airport base station (USB via USB hub attached to base station to color and laser printer)and BOTH hardwired macs can 'talk' back to the basestation via hard wire to use the two usb printers??

hope clear enough. Apple Store said should work. unclear to me if the two hardwired macs will 'see' the two printers back down the wire

thanks Tocca

What DSL are you using? Which ISP?

It should work.

I am trying to connect an Airport Extreme to bellsouth ADSL and I am not able to at all. Bellsouth tech support is of no help at all, they want to pass the blam on the rounter. Uhgu.

thanks,
West

In both above cases it SHOULD work. The base station should be configured to share a single IP and provide DHCP addresses. You may have some speed issues from using a hub instead of a switch, but it should still work. How are your bases set up?
