Tyrannosaurus rex was a strict vegetarian, and lived with Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden.
There were dinosaurs of every kind aboard Noah's ark. Some dinosaurs managed to hang around until just a few hundred years ago. The legend of St. George slaying the dragon? That probably was a dinosaur.
When the Gallup Poll asked people about their views on the subject last March, 47 percent of Americans polled said that God created humans pretty much in their present form some time in the last 10,000 years. That belief was strongest among those with less education, regular churchgoers, people 65 and older, and Republicans.
There also will be an exhibit suggesting that belief in evolution is the root of most of modern society's evils. It shows models of children leaving a church where the minister believes in evolution. Soon the girl is on the phone to Planned Parenthood, while the boy cruises the Internet for pornography sites.
Personally, the anti-evolution part doesn't bother me as much as the biblically heavy nonsense such as dinosaurs with Noah and evolution promoting pornography.
I'd be curious to see what % of Americans like or believe in this museum, because at this point I feel like you could blame our education system that so many people believe in these bizarre connections.
I suppose time will tell how many people believe in this museum. I admit I'd be tempted to visit it out of curiosity.

I hate to say this, but I think they may have a better point about evolution leading to social problems than they do on the science of it. At least, we know for certain that they're wrong about the age of the earth and that sort of thing. And it's at least possible that, when we start to see humans as "just another animal," despite the fact that it's true, it could lead to social problems.

It's a widely believed fact that people who watch porn on the internet do so because they evolved from animals who watched porn on the internet.

Cynicism and immorality predate evolutionary theory by quite a bit. We're actually a lot more humane nowadays than we were, say, 1,000 years ago.

Slashdot is direct evidence to the contrary. There are tens of thousands of atheist virgins on there.

Religion keeps the masses in line.
Without religion they'd be free to believe all kinds of crazy stuff. Without religion there'd be no discipline and unity. Without religion we'd have Christian, Jewish and Muslim mobs trying to kill each other (and us).
What?
Oh.

Cruising the Internet for pornography sites, yes. Slashdot proves the museum right.

I'm Russian Orthodox Christian and even I believe in evolution.
I also believe that science and religion can co-exist. Otherwise, I would probably lose it.
Does anyone take note of where this museum is located? Kentucky, people! Think "Bible Belt" and "Conservatives"!

Yeah, I'd be curious to hear how you think that happens.

It's pretty funny when religious people weigh in with the the "I might be hardcore but I'm not crazy" sentiment.

It serves to illustrate how ludicrous this Museum is.

Haha, don't make me defend that please. I don't personally believe it, all I'm saying is that the science is absolutely clear, whereas this argument about evolution and morality is vague enough to at least make a case.

Oh, ok. I thought that was a rather atypical comment from you.

As long as tax dollars aren't being used to fund it, I don't give a crap.
