Whenever I try to copy and paste a web page into Word the program would just freeze up? I have a 1.5ghz powerbook with 1.25gigs of ram with these specs it shouldn't have a problem doing it right? Does this happen to anyone else and please help if you know how to fix this.

Try first pasting into Textedit and then copy-paste that into Word. Edit: Or don't do that, that might break formatting. What browser are you using?

You could try saving a page in Safari as a webarchive (if you have Tiger), then importing the text into Word. But TextEdit does a better job of that than Word.

This is a computer-generated message and needs no signature.

What exactly are you trying to accomplish? Word is not really meant to have web pages pasted into it. It's a word processor, after all.
