Are those custom images, or are they combined from other theme? (if so, what themes?)
They are recolored menu items from PM2k5 with the borders cleaned up. The rest is just the standard Power Metal 2.0 theme with some of the blue elements made to match the menu highlights. It's really more of what might be a graphite variant.

Introducing Transparent LuGUI. (No, you can't have it. Sorry.)
I just finished it, and a million thanks to Tom and Rick for their help.

You're right. I was just being a jealous ass
I'd love to do it myself though I'm not interested in recycling peoples finished work.
I might change the sidebar color but that's it. It really is a bitch though when the theme has elements that won't apply right in shapeshifter. It gives me a ****ing headache.

To dislike Sinatra is a sign of highly questionable taste. To dislike the Beatles is a serious character flaw.

Because he has to redo work that is already done, and he might not get it to the same degree as the person posting the screen shot.

A year ago I posted a thread that made a few people mad. I suggested that we would pay for themes.
But everybody told me that it is all about sharing and itfs a work of love bla bla blac.
Maybe you didn't thought about it but posting a theme with a transparent Menubar will make some people understand theming better! There are not a lot of info out there you know.

(exuse my language) but makki allways seems to be getting into an argument about his mods or anything else he does, I'm not saying thats his fault but surely it would be sensible to make someone a little less "risky" as a new mod? no? Oh well just my thoughts. I barely see any moderatieng being done or needing to be done here anyway.

No. A community can have all sorts of common things and common sense has not always a great part in this. This community shares merely ideas and a spirit of designing according to individual needs. This does not necessarily mean that everybody is willing to share the outcome of these ideas and efforts.
But that should not prevent you from sharing with others. But be careful, there is a subtle hook, do not share things that originate from others while your contribution is merely a wig on top.
This by far has made the spirit of this community sour more than once.

I'm sorry, but "understand theming better"? I don't quite understand what you mean by that. PLease explain.
I cannot give out the theme because the original author of it does not want me to. What Kate said was exactly it. Please read her post again if you did not maybe understand it at first.

It's pretty simple you just get the menu bar elements in themepark, send them to photoshop and set the transparency to 99% and put it back in

Thank you for your advise about reading the post again. I did and still didn't get it! Its not like somebody here is showing is work at the louvre. Its not only directed to you but people here should relax and be more helpful

I changed only a few... But add my girl to the scene with DeskFun app...
A quick Photoshop to add wings, adapt colors, makes a .png floating on desktop and voila...

I think people here are plenty helpful (bad grammar). The concept is simple, it realy is, If someone goes through al the trouble of makeing a theme, or icons or watever then that work belongs to them. They own the rights to it, unless otherwise stated. This means you have to ask for there permission to release mods etc. To be perfecctly ohnest this is just good manars, I realy don't like it when someone takes my work(whatever it may be) and screws about with it. It's just rude. If they gave me the mod and said, look I like your work and I've done this with it and the quality was up to my expectations then I would allow a release as would most people here, however if it was taken and changed without my consent and given out then I would force them to take it offline. When people take the time and effor to make these things for us it is a very personal thing, I know this because I see all my work this way, its personal, it belongs to me and I'm proud of it (or else it gets thrown away) So I don't want some guy who doesnt care about it and the standards I was trying to reach messing around with it. Perhaps you are not proud of your work? or dont find it personal to you? or perhaps you havnt realy done much? In time I'm sure you will come to see your own work in the way I and many others do.

The best way to learn about themeing is to do mods and alter current themes and then progress, manuals realy dont help with something like this

Exactly, plus I got help from the theme's creator in making the mod. I showed him first and he had no problem with me showing it. If he had said I could release it, I would have. Otherwise, there is no chance.
Look, I had been thinking about doing this mod for a long time, and it really was my biggest mod to date, so just go for it, ask question because we do help here, but don't complain if a person is sticking by the code of conduct.

Thanks Stuphalina very good advice. We want people who visit MacNN to feel like they can ask for advice or assistance freely without anyone cutting em down or etc.
Please feel free to share with us whats on your mind and maybe someone can help make that into a reality.
