Hi all,

I have a Mac Pro with a strange ProTools issue. Anything you record with it seems to have a lag on it. Also when its records it seems to re-order the notes like they are snapping to a grid or something.

You can probably tell I am not an expert user, this is a favour for a friend. He says nothing changed. It worked fine one day and then did this the next.

Is there a setting I should be looking at?
I have plenty of more important things to do, if only I could bring myself to do them....

you need to ask these questions at a protools forum...

the lag is probably the latency settings, this is between your audio interface and pro tools settings.
and you need to turn quantize off; it's probably set to 16th notes, and so yes, is aligning to a grid...

google 'pro tools forum', there must be a good number of them!
