Yes, this product has been released in Japan for roughly about five months now - old news.

Does anyone know where I can get my grubby big hands on one of these - I wonder where and what direction Apple will be going in the future?

Yummy

you could go to japan...?

seriously, i own an ADS USB InstantDVD box, and it comes with Pixela software. i once had trouble with the software, and wrote Pixela directly. i had some correspondence with an engineer there who was very helpful. we got to talking (in broken english), and i told him how people here in the states are dying to get their hands on their products. all he could tell me was that they know, and they are working on trying to find a distibutor for their products. this was about 5 months ago or so.

i would love to have a firewire version of the InstantDVD box or the like. not that the USB one isn't good, but i have far more USB devices than FW, and i'd like to use my FW ports.
