.who taught you punctuation? .it's very odd .i don't quite know what to make of it .it definitely is unpleasing to the eye .it seems to me that you have replaced the traditional capital letter with the period-lowercase letter combo .but the rule breaks when you add question marks (and presumably exclamation points) because in that case you do both traditional endings AND your oddball thingy .perhaps you could be more consistent?

.like this

There hasn't been a point to using Netscape in a long time. It's been based off Mozilla/Firefox for some time, but they add commercial junk and are always a release or two behind.

I haven't heard of any plans to port the latest Netscape to any platform other than Windows, since Trident (the engine behind IE/Win) has not been ported to any platform other than Windows. Well, that's not quite true; they did port it to Solaris once, but that port hasn't been updated in years.

It's just as well, I guess. Internet Explorer makes the baby Jesus cry.

Well they've just updated it to 0.8.1 for security reasons, so there is no hurry to have it available on the mac.

.well this new Netscape is based off BOTH Mozilla and IE- it switches between FireFox and IE depending on the site it is viewing .also, since the original Mozilla is no longer in production, i would assume it won't bloated

Periods come at the end of sentences.

Also, Netscape.. people still use that? Wow.. I actually am shocked. And 44 security holes requiring an emergency patch at launch? Priceless. Also, didn't they already have Netscape 8.0 and they skipped it? Or was that Netscape 6 that they skipped? Also, who cares? If I was on Windows, FireFox would be mine.

.I actually like the new punctuation .it's really better to read !you always know where a new sentence starts and directly know what kind of sentence it is ?this is wonderful, isn't it

?the Spanish start their questions with a ¿, too, don't they .I don't think this is too stupid .as I really like it, I'll try to adopt it as my primary punctuation, at least here on these boards :-)

No. Proper English already has mechanisms for these things, and does not need more. Proper capitalization serves to signal the start of a sentence, and it's really not necessary to determine the type of a sentence until you know the sentence anyway, thus eliminating the need for prefix punctuation.

Spanish punctuation works quite well for Spanish, but it does not work for English. Different languages evolved along different lines to suit different needs.
