I am trying to use OS 9 to restart my ibook. It freezes during startup, and I don't know how to proceed because there is no chance to interact with the system. Any ideas?

Press Shift to turn off extensions upon startup.

If you get this far, go to your extensions manager in the control panel folder.

In the drop down menu select Mac OS 9 Base.

Restart the computer.
