Hiya,

- Have OS9
- Ppgrading to OS10
- Worried my memory might not be ok with OS10

What is the best way to check?

Oh yeah, the memory I'm talking about is 3rd party (duh!).

I upgraded my iMac with the cheapest memory I could find a year ago, and I have n't had any problems with it or Jaguar. I don't think that the memory sticks even have a name on them. I think if you computer's ROM is happy with the memory, so should Jaguar.

Apple pulled a semi-dirty trick a while back, releasing a firmware patch which disabled some third-party memory (in their defense, the memory being disabled was falsely labeled, since it did not comply with the standards it claimed to follow).

If your RAM still works with this patch in place, it should be OK for OSX.
