I got a new Sony Ericsson t630, and I set it up with OS 10. I was thinking I will see a cool looking skin whenever I receive a call. What I see is a dialog box, is this the way it is supposed to be? I remember seeing a cooler transparent skin in Steve's demo long time back. Any ideas? Thanks.

What do you mean by 'skin'?
What the nerd community most often fail to realize is that all features aren't equal. A well implemented and well integrated feature in a convenient interface is worth way more than the same feature implemented crappy, or accessed through a annoying interface.

The dialogue box is what pops up when someone calls me on my phone.

I think the transparent thing you're thinking of is the 'Large Type' option available in Address Book. Very handy when your phone is across the room from you mac, but you need to see the phone number to be dialed.

But for the 'caller ID' feature of Bluetooth, that's the right box.

There's a program called BluePhoneMenu that probably does what you're looking for.

I specifically remember this from a WWDC demo by steve jobs. Right now we have transparent 'thing' that shows up when one tries to adjust display brightness or audio volume. I remember similar thing showing up whenever calls are made, not a dialog box. No one remembers this?

That big transparent thing shows up when you have address book show a contact's number large.

That's NOT used for incoming calls.
