Hi all,
It would be cool if there was a keyboard with a firewire connection to allow for text entry directly into the iPod.
Even better (but it would require an iPod formfactor change by Apple) is to add a USB port to allow for the huge range of existing USB keyboards to connnect.
I see that there are some keyboards for PDAs, perhaps a hack would allow for one of these to become compatible?

I just want porn on it, but then again thats my one track mind, sorry.
As for the Fire Wire Keyboard, I think it would be rather stupid, you have this bug bulky key boad, or a roll up, but what are you going to do with it, fix all of you ID tags on you MP3, leave little messages. It need to have more software out that makes it a PDA, plus the screen realestate is rather small, remembe, steve made this to play music, not to be the newton^2.

Thanks G4ME, nice to see your sort still survive....
Anyways, Firewire-to-USB-adapter would allow for a USB keyboard to be added to the iPod, and whola, text entry without the need for access to a computer. Oh, you'll probably need another software hack.
It's either that or wait for Apple to release another form-factor with text entry similar to Palm, etc...
Seems a no-brainer to me.
