Is it just me, or does anyone else run into the problem of right clicking with two fingers, and having to tap like 4-8 times before it actually registers as a right click?

This feature seems like a great concept........ but, if it is THAT touchy or strict about how you tap the pad, is it worth it?

Is anyone else getting these results?

Works great for me. I have gotten in the habit of making sure my fingers were separate, so they clearly register as two.

Are you sure you're understanding how it works? You hold two fingers on the trackpad and then click the trackpad button. It sounds like you're wanting it to just work when you tap the trackpad with two fingers.

Actually, it's you that doesn't understand.

It works either way, depending on if you have trackpad clicking turned on or off.

Well, that's what I figured, but given the fact that tapping two fingers at once is rather difficult, I thought everyone would just use the trackpad button. I mean, I like trackpad tapping but it's supposed to make things easier, not harder. And surely you can have trackpad clicking enabled and still use the "two finger + button" method, right?

Nope, one or the other.

And I don't find tapping two fingers at the same time difficult at all. In fact, it doesn't even have to be at the *exact* same time for it to work. I find the two finger+trackpad option to be more difficult. I've already have to put two fingers on the trackpad, why not just let that be the click?

Hmm. I only tried it out at a store since I don't have a compatible Mac. Seems kind of counter-intuitive to disable using the trackpad button.

Quite the opposite. Two fingers on the trackpad will probably move the location of the cursor, making the right click occur in the wrong place. I would think that the only way to do this would be to tap the trackpad with two fingers, no trackpad button required.

Well, I tried it at the store and it seemed to work fine using the trackpad button.

But anyway, what I'm saying is that turning on trackpad clicking gives you another way to click that is *in addition* to clicking the trackpad button. I've always sort thought of is as the "advanced" mode of trackpad use, because it gives you more options. It doesn't alter the way you use the button at all.

What Bryanmc is saying is that with the addition of two-finger right click, turning on trackpad clicking alters the way that the button works instead of adding to it. That's what I consider counter-intuitive.

what I've done is I've installed the patch to use the feature on my 15" MBP,

seeing how I have done this, do you think that the drivers that I installed could be..... less than perfect or not optimized for my 15" MBP?

Thanks,
Ryan

Return it to the store 5 times till you get one that works.

On my MacBook, I sometimes get "false hits" when I do two finger scrolling on the trackpad. It can get annoying depending on how your 2 fingers coordinate. :-)
