I read the New York Times, The New Yorker, and The Straight Dopeāall excellent. This is another beauty: Famous Trials: excellently written overviews of famous trials throughout history from the trial of Socrates to Moussaoui of 9 11 fame. Damn Interesting is also, well, damn interesting. I also read The Fallacy Files, Wikipedia and a few blogs.
I'm pretty sure there's a lot more good reading to be had online.
Any recommendations?
I'd especially like to find a website presenting a skeptical inquiry of paranormal phenomena, but don't know where to start.

Some may wish to timeline me, but I found it only recently.
gaijinsmash.net
It's the blog of an American living in Kyoto, teaching English to Japanese junior high-schoolers. Go to the archives, start at the beginning, read for three days straight.
Laugh and be horrified.

Been inclined to wander... off the beaten track.
That's where there's thunder... and the wind shouts back.

You missed some great (inane, and as always, poorly translated) stories: "Dancing Parties of Youth and Students Held", "Information Workers of Trade Union Organizations Tour Area of Mt. Paektu", etc
