Hello all,
I am new here and to the Mac world.
I installed Windows 7 via bootcamp and everything installed perfectly but I am having an issue getting the wireless drivers to work.

Even with the DVD that came with the MB, Windows 7 won't pick up the wireless card.

Any thoughts?

Thanks in advance

Why in the world won't Apple support those machines? It's not like the hardware is explicitly incompatible with Windows...

To the OP: you might try finding some other Atheros drivers for the wireless card, since that card uses an Atheros chipset.
Sell or send me your vintage Mac things if you don't want them.

I'm in the same boat with my late '06 MBP. It lacks some drivers for Win 7 x64 -- not many, but just enough for the experience to be less-than-complete.

Apple is way behind the curve on releasing drivers for Win7.

WTF, why can't my MacPro use Win7 and BooCamp ("mid-2006 MacPro = unsupported")? Thanks Apple, this and the fact there aren't any recent video cards makes my "expandable" MacPro less than ideal...

Looks like Apple is only going to update the existing 64-bit EFI machines for Win7 compatibility.

Which I guess also suggests those older machines aren't going to get 64-bit EFI firmwares for 64-bit kernel support.

Yup...already saw that we'd be left out of the 64-bit kernel...what do you expect from a $2300 "Pro" machine?
