What do the rings around enemy civs mean on the diplomacy screen?
here is a link with "decorated" rings: http://www.civ3.com/features.cfm
i've seen red, green, and maybe blue, but not the one on the above link.
also will pc's and macs be able to play multiplayer games together with the "Play the World" add-on?
Thanks!

I/ve never seen that funnny banded ring efffect n the Mac Civ 3 I've played. However, all the screenshots from the site are from the PC ver5sion. Perhaps it's different.
I believe that PTW players can play against any platform opponent. It would be silly to make a Mac version if there are only a couple thousand of Mac Civ III players, unable to play the tens of thousands of PC players.
I wish thatr the endgames were more realistic.
And that the AI could play me honestly, without cheating.

I don't know about the rings in the diplomacy screen, but as far as the upcoming add-on I really do hope (and expect) Mac players to be able to play with PC players. Otherwise the usefulness of a multiplayer option to CivIII for mac would be severely restricted.
