Just bought a new iBook last week. How soon must 10.3 come out before I can not make use of the coupons included with the book for a discount in the purchase price of 10.3?

Not to disappoint, but you'll be paying full price for 10.3 (unless Apple executives decide to revamp the entire way Mac OS X is licensed and sold, which I don't see them doing).

Sh*t, you're better off waiting to buy it after WWDC or even July for that Create expo thingy if you want a discount on Panther.

panther will only be previewed at WWDC, it'll be quite a few months before it's released.

My bet is that any Mac purchased after WWDC will get a discount on Panther. (if not offered for free for supposed 970 PM)

It's normal for Apple to offer Mac OS Up-To-Date for purchases after the next version has allowed -- you just send in one of your tokens and pay $19.95 for shipping and handling, and you get the CDs sent back.
