I am panic now.

Just a few minutes ago, iTunes was running on my Powerbook. Then the system froze, no sound. I waited a few seconds and decided to poweroff.

After that, I rebooted the mac. Nothing happened. No sound, no display, just black screen. (I could hear the Mac was running).

I unpluged the battery, tried again. No sound, no display.

I connected a monitor, tried again. No sound, no display.

Connected a firewire hard disk which is bootable. Rebooted Powerbook. (Then I pressed Option) No sound, black screen.

Any suggestion? My Ph.D thesis and data are all in that disk. I have a backup but it's one month old.

thanks

OK, hard disk is fine. I logged in my system while facing black screen.

I ssh to my mac then I can see all of my stuff.

So the problem is LCD or video card.
