He admittedly took kick-backs from a corporation he was in charge of regulating. Why is this guy still in office? Better yet, after his dismal record in regards to the mortgage crisis, why is anyone allowing him to have a voice in how other financial emergencies are taken care of? The fact that Dodd is allowed to have any say in anything is clear evidence of why things have been going down the sh**ter.

ps. Yes, I know there are lousy republicans who should probably be out of office. Dodd and Barney Frank just seem to be 2 of the most shameless in Congress based on recent events.

Agreed.
Frank sounded like a half-retard on OReilly awhile back.
As for asking CEOs to resign before accepting bailout money... Wouldnt that be more costly?

9 times out of 10, a Republican involved in a scandal will resign or not be reelected
9 times out of 10, a Democrat in involved in a scandal will not resign and will be reelected

Frank was having a relationship with a Fannie Mae executive while a member of the committee overseeing Fannie Mae.

Maybe we are looking at it all wrong and it's the Republican's who are flawed. Should the assumption be that they all are crooked and when they get caught it's no big deal? Like you said, if Dodd or Frank where Republicans, they'd probably already be out of office. They aren't even showing any shame - they are on TV 24/7 pretending to be credible and the media is playing right along.

Personally, it makes me a little sick.

It has been pointed out that most Democrats have no shame.
