He's a shock jock, he makes money by causing outrage. It wouldn't surprise me if it was staged.

It's more crazy Abe-like conspiracy theories than shock, I think.

I watched it, the guy is definitely unhinged, though aside from his 9/11 and mass murder pills most of what he said has been offered up in here several times over.
I didn't bother to check but I assume his ludicrous claim about suicide being the biggest cause of death in the US is utter nonsense.
I was disappointed that Piers didn't ask that since he thought that big pharma was throwing money around why didn't he think the gun lobby was doing the same. Then again Piers Morgan is a dick.

The bit about there being more knife murders is probably questionable too.

We shouldn't, this is just a spinoff of the bat cheat crazy political candidate/active politician thread, expanded to basically anybody with a media platform, which Alex Jones has.
It's just for fun, but damn, this guy's conspiracy theories are a trip.

I knew of him because of the whole Bohemian Grove trespassing thing, but didn't know he was still active. (Incidentally, all they do is get drunk, share locker room talk, and piss out in the open, nothing grave or sinister about them.)

Just saw another interview with Jones. Yeah, he's milking the publicity. I wish people wouldn't do that.

He said in today's HuffPo interview that the New World Order has cancer vaccines! Glenn Beck says he's a loon, and Jones says that Beck is a despicable human being.

The funny thing to me is the irony of the fact that to many people, people like Alex Jones and Westboro are justification alone for gun control.

This is pretty remarkable. I never thought either of them would be right about anything but both at the same time??!!! Amazing.

No. Crazy people like them are justification alone for allowing gun ownership, self-defense.
Remember: criminals and crazies don't care about gun control.

There are clearly a lot of crazies who care deeply about gun control.

Self defense against people some of which ought not to have a gun in the first place? This is so incredibly circular I'm feeling dizzy.
Criminals don't care about gun control, but crazy people with less access to firearms seems like a winning combo to me.

This might have been one of the first threads where we actually all seemed to agree on something. Is there anybody here that disagrees that this Alex Jones guy is a loon?

Why do some care what Al Gore says? Why do some care what Ann Coulter says?
It doesn't really matter what they say, but it is somewhat interesting to see how far one can go on the fringes without losing their national platform.

Maybe not an idiot, but not completely mentally together? I can't imagine what living in that world of conspiracy theory like this would do to a mind.

I don't think the fear conspiracy types live with is good for them, but his delivery isn't a manifestation of his fear. He's working it.

Why would the government want to take your guns? The government can do all sorts of things to you, whether you have guns or not is pretty irrelevant.

Well they won't want my guns, I don't have any for the moment. But you should probably ask that army guy in the video that said he just follows orders and would even shoot Americans who didn't comply. I thought that was interesting; considering back when the military was getting scrutiny for for not being able to fire on illegals at the border even when under attack, the excuse they used was "it's illegal for us to fire on American citizens, and we don't know if some of these people are citizens", and everyone said "oh OK well that makes sense now".

You have to admit they can do it easier if you don't have guns..
