Citizen Modena EcoDrive (solar powered through the watch face). Perpetual calendar and whatnot. I don't think Citizen makes them anymore, but you can still get them online. There's a chronograph version, too, but it's more expensive.
Like i said, i'm still waiting for mine to come. Once it does, i'll take some better pics (all i can find online are these stock ones)
edit: nice, MOS, another citizen wearer

I used to have an Omega Seamaster and then a Casio with scientific calculator. Now I have a belt loop self winding Timex to keep my wrist free. (It even has a compass to make it useful.) Actually, I have no need to know the time as there is a clock on my computer and my car radio. sam

Its a Diesel methinks, same guys who make mine.
I went through watches like water till I got this baby, and she's fantastic - solid, reliable and fairly attractive.

I'm wearing an Elgin "Tag Heuer" knock off. It's pretty and it didn't cost a lot. Most of the time I just need to tell the time, so a simple watch is better, and I know there's a wall or post or something with my watch's name on it, so I stay with the inexpensive end of the watch scale.

Casio Wave Ceptor Solar.
Never having to adjust the date or time, and never having to buy a battery rules. It's not packed with useless features, and Looks cool too.

I can tell time without it but I do get it wrong sometimes but not often only rarely though. I sometime wish I would get a good watch, but I think I can live without it.

I have the TAG Heuer 6000 series. My brother gave it to me after he got another Tag watch. I fall in love with it everytime I put it on. Amazing watch and it's in excellent condition. The scratch-resistant sapphire crystal really saved me a few times when I was careless and banged it on sharp metal objects. Frankly, I'm surprised that after 15 years of use that it's held up so well. My brother paid alot for it, $1400 I think. So boy was I happy when he handed it down to me. When and if this one ever breaks down, I'll save up to get another Tag Heuer. Best watch ever, IMHO.

I have a Citizen Eco-Drive Skyhawk and a Tag Huer SEL.
The Citizen is a far better watch.

What does it do?
It shows the time. Most Scandinavian design is very minimalistic (but classy).

Wore a Tag Heuer F1 Chronograph for about 7 years but got fed up of the repair costs fixing the thing every year!
Switched to one of these 2 years ago... no problems since:

I like it's looks, but it would look to small on my wrist. Nice watch though.

They don't make mine any longer, but this is it's replacement (looks just like it but my Minute/Second bezel is a little different):

I had a (similar) one of those, but someone decided it was perfectly readable top put the tiny date numbers in black on top of a darkish red circle. You had to look really hard, in the correct light to even have a chance of seeing what the date was.
I got rid of it after it started to chaff my wrist near the knob, my skin slowly dissolves the chrome coating lots of modern watches have (this is another reason I chose the casio above, the edge round the buttons is plastic). The joint between the (brass?) base metal and where the chrome hadn't dissolved away was quite sharp.

I've been thinking of getting a watch recently, maybe a pocket watch. Some nice ones here

If you know the sunrise or sunset time, you can use the fist method to tell time. Hold your arm out and make a fist. 1 fist = about 1 hour. Add or subtract the # of fists to sunrise or sunset, it gives you a pretty good estimate of time at most latitudes. It's also a good way to know how much daylight you have left for any activities, better than a watch if you don't know the current sunset time.
