Do most VGA monitors use composite or sync-on-green synchonization? I need to know 'cause I'm ordering a custom flat panel and I know the wrong option will get me a bad picture. I have a feeling most are SOG but I'm not sure. Anyone?
I'mnot positive, but I'm pretty sure that the sync-on-green is used primarily in the Unix world (such as NeXT, Soloaris, etc.). But you should get a better answer than mine before buying.
Most VGA monitors are Composite Sync. It's the older monitors (mostly the ones with only 3 BNC connectors) that are SOG. Since it's a modern LCD display, it will definitely be composite sync. You may still need a adapter if you have an older Mac, but not a sync adapter.
