I'm about to buy this 2 gig ram pack from newegg and everything is exactly to spec on what th3 g5 will take, but i'm still just curious that this absolutly will work. Can you buy just any old pc3200 (400mhz) cas 2 184 pin ram for these g5's?

I have 2gig I got off of Newegg. Someone here on the board posted a link. Think I got them for $76 each pair of 512 (ie 1GB). I know it was about $160 with shipping.

Left the 512MB that came with my box for a total of 2.5GB.

Awesome! silly apple this ram probably has better cas latency than the oem brand. I use corsair for my pc's so im thrilled about this. Thanks guys for your help peace!
