I just got a couple of tickets to see Dave Chappelle at Charlie Goodnights in Raleigh. Any other MacNNers going?

If he's as funny in person as he is on his show and on those HBO comedy shows, it's going to be hiLARious.

Nice! I've seen a couple of his stand-up routines on TV. He is indeed a funny mofo in that medium. I am a big fan of his show, and I hope to catch him live if he ever comes into this neck of the woods.

Caught him in San Francisco last year. Definitely very funny. Gonna try to catch him again in San Jose. Hopefully he'll have new material.

I wonder if he reused the material?

Actually he talked about Half Baked 2. He said he is saving that for a rainy day, i.e. when he is broke and have no more money then he'll make that movie.

Tickets are usually around 40 bucks.

Yeah, I'm gonna see him on June 25th at the Orpheum Theater in Minneapolis, MN.

My first Friday where I'm done with school, so it'll be a great reward.

Just heard a funny line on his show, "I beat my dXck like it owes me money!"

Give petty people just a little bit of power and watch how they misuse it! You can't silence the self doubt, can you?

One of the guys I work with once hung out with Dave before he was 'really famous' and was visiting his campus. Apparently he's a cool guy in general.

Yeah, I believe it. And I can't say Ii wouldn't do what he seems to have done. Just kick back and enjoy the money and whatever comes with it, while he can.

He's not losing any popularity, it seems. People know he's chillin. If and when he comes back to Comedy Central it will be like Michael Jordan returning from retirement to play in the NBA!

It's Stinky's song (Charlie Murphy's voice):

I don't believe your pappy,
he may be rich but he ain't happy,
tells you about work and you want to be him,
but when's the last time that you got to see him,
he works hard, Why?
So, you can go out and buy,
a bunch of s**t that you dont need,
driven by your punk ass hopes and greed,
that's why I say "f**k it!"

For the first time in my life,
I'm finally free,
no mansion for me,
I say "f**k it!"
no brand new Humvee,
I say "f**k it!"
[girl] "But, you'll get no pussy!"
"F**k it!"

What you don't understand,
is I make love to my hand,
So, I don't need you honey,
I beat my d*ck like it owes me money,
That's right I said "f**k it!".

My all-time favorite Chappelle's Show skit. Classic! It's in my iTunes library!
